Together with the Italian OTK Kart Group company, the Formula 1 driver presented the new brand to the international press in Cremona (Italy). For the occasion, the Spaniard drove several laps at the wheel of the newborn CS55 model.
First steps on track in Cremona (Italy) for CS55 Racing Kart. On Monday, February 5, 2024, in the presence of various journalists, Carlos Sainz, Formula 1 driver, and OTK Kart Group, among the most successful companies in the history of international karting, officially presented the birth of the new brand.
The concrete result of the newly established partnership between Carlos Sainz and OTK Kart Group is the CS55 model, the first of the CS55 Racing Kart product range, which inherits all the winning characteristics of the other models of the brands that belong to the Italian constructor. Manufactured with a chassis composed of steel tubes that feature a diameter of 30 mm, it is available in both the single-speed (Junior/Senior) and shifter versions, both characterised by the livery with the black, red and yellow colours, chromatic elements that represent Carlos Sainz’s image.
Carlos Sainz took advantage of this occasion to complete some laps at the wheel of the shifter CS55, equipped with the VTZ unit of Vortex Engines, the engine division of OTK Kart Group, accompanied by Roberto Merhi, former F1 driver and busy in recent years with car racing in Japan, and by Felix Porteiro, who once was an official representative of the OTK brands in the main international competitions.
Some of the journalists at the track had the opportunity to try the newborn CS55 model – in the single-speed version – on Cremona’s circuit, equipped with the ROK SV engine, the latest addition to the ROK product range and always conceived by Vortex Engines. Designed to be reliable, competitive and easy to manage, the ROK SV will supply the KFS French championship starting from the 2024 season.
All the CS55 Racing Kart products will soon be available worldwide through the official retail network.
